Back in the mid-1980s when I played for a short while in the legendary Miami metal band, Cynic, we had a rehearsal spot in a dreary meter room at a warehouse complex west of Miami-Dade College in Kendall. Nearby was Hidden Lake, a vacant quarry around a housing development that was going up. We'd break from rehearsal and head there to hang out, philosophize, and do teenager stuff. This song reminded me of those days.
